It’s not unusual to shop for cars with an eye towards the cargo you plan to haul in them – we even had a customer ask us if we thought the 2017 ACURA NSX could fit a guitar in it – but the most important cargo any of our vehicles will ever haul are the family and friends who make traveling worthwhile.
It’s a great honor, then, to have a vehicle we sell honored by U.S. News and World Report’s annual Best Cars for Families awards. We must have been extra good this year, because both the Kia Soul and Kia Cadenza took home top honors within their respective segments.
The Kia Soul was awarded the title of Best Compact Car for Families, edging out industry heavyweights like the Honda Civic and Volkswagen Golf. It’s not easy to make a small car stand out as a solution for families, but the Soul certainly manages it; from its surprisingly spacious interior and very competitive price to its 5-star crash test rating and personality-filled appearance, the Soul checks all the boxes on a family’s automotive wish list without breaking the bank or compromising fuel efficiency.
The Kia Cadenza took home Best Large Car for Families honors, meaning that whether your family wants to go small or go large, Kia has you covered. The Cadenza earned special recognition for its advanced rear-view camera and parking features, which help to make parking a vehicle loaded down with groceries and passengers a walk in the park.
We’re proud to know that Kia vehicles are designed to meet the needs of families; while track times and desert races may be areas of focus for performance brands, our customers and colleagues have places to go, people to see, and things to pick up. The Soul and Cadenza, as well as every other vehicle in our lineup, bring technology, comfort, reliability, and safety to customers at a very competitive price, and we’re grateful to U.S. News and World Report for spreading the good word about Kia.
