Kia’s Superhero-Inspired Cars Draw Attention to Hunger in Africa

18 Oct

Acura teamed up with Marvel to include the RDX and NSX in the “Thor” and “Avengers” movies.  Hyundai worked with author Robert Kirkman of “Walking Dead” fame to build the Elantra Zombie Survival Machine for Comic Con.  Now Kia’s partnered with DC Entertainment and Rides Magazine to develop a series of eight super hero vehicles based on the iconic characters that make up the Justice League.  The partnership gives legs to DC Entertainment’s “We Can Be Heroes” campaign to fight hunger in the Horn of Africa.  First out of the gate is a Batman-inspired Kia Optima SX Limited now on display at the Time Warner Center in New York.  The modified Optima features a custom paint-job, beefy ground effects kit, batwing-inspired grille, and yellow LED lighting.  For more on the super-hero vehicles, Kia, and its partnership with DC Entertainment and Rides Magazine find the full press release at http://www.kia.com/#/press.
